First Look: 'Orphan Black' Star Tatiana Maslany in 'Stronger' Trailer Opposite Jake Gyllenhaal
Orphan Black may be coming to an end this year... but Tatiana Maslany is just getting started.
As the Clone Club knows, and of course, all of Anglophenia — and the world — Maslany won the 2016 Emmy award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama for her multiple roles in the BBC AMERICA original.
We just kicked off the fifth and final season of Orphan Black this past Saturday, June 10. So where does Maslany go from here?
You can see her opposite Jake Gyllenhaal in the trying biopic, Stronger, detailing the trauma suffered during the 2013 Boston Marathon bombing.
At first, Gyllenhaal, who plays bombing survivor Jeff Bauman, is almost unrecognizable in the trailer below. He lost both of his legs in the explosion, and we can only imagine his — and the other victims' — pain and suffering. And for the survivors, what a struggle it must have been to recover. But Bauman certainly didn't let the events of one day dictate the rest of his life.
And, with his now wife, Boston marathon runner Erin Hurley (her maiden name), portrayed by Maslany, we see how the pair helped the Boston police track down the people behind the attack.
If you haven't seen it yet, here's a look at the trailer:

The film is based on Bauman‘s 2014 memoir Stronger.
What do you think of the depiction of the Baumans' story?
