First Look: Elvis Presley is Being Animated for New Spy TV Series 'Agent King'

There's a new animated TV series in the works, which will center on Elvis Presley as an international spy, reports Variety.  Netflix released a drawing of the King, sideburns and all, with a smoking gun, via its Twitter news page:

His ex-wife Priscilla Presley is co-creator of the forthcoming Netflix series Agent King, saying, "From the time Elvis was a young boy he always dreamed of being the superhero fighting crime and saving the world. Agent King lets him do just that."

The official synopsis describes the concept, saying: "Elvis Presley trades in his white jumpsuit for a jet pack when he is covertly inducted into a secret government spy program to help battle the dark forces that threaten the country he loves — all while holding down his day job as the King of Rock And Roll."

It makes us think of Presley's song, where he sings, "A little less conversation, a little more action, please." This isn't quite what he meant, but the spy game definitely provides action. And the series itself is pegged as an action-comedy.

Presley was not one to go under-the-radar, with elaborate costumes and saying what was on his mind. But, even so, he does fit the role of a spy, with the playboy lifestyle and dashing good looks.

Elvis Presley passed away in 1977 at the age of 42, but the rock legend lives on.

Do you think this is a fun way to carry on his legacy?
