First Look: Billie Piper Stars in Funny and Full-On 'I Hate Suzie' Trailer
The first trailer for Billie Piper's upcoming TV series I Hate Suzie is here, and it looks like an amazing role for the former Doctor Who star.
Piper plays the title character, a fading actress who's plunged back into the spotlight when her phone is hacked and a photograph of her in "a compromising position" is leaked online.
The series has been co-created by Piper and writer Lucy Prebble, who also wrote Piper's post-Doctor Who series Secret Diary of a Call Girl. So if you liked that show, which ran for four seasons from 2007-2011, I Hate Suzie could be for you, too.
The cast also includes Daniel Ings (The Crown, Lovesick), Nathaniel Martello-White (Collateral), Leila Farzad (Twenty Twelve), Lorraine Ashbourne (The Crown, London Spy), and Phil Daniels (Vinyl, Quadrophenia). Prebble and Piper have described the series as a "strong, dark, fun tale," and you can watch the trailer below.

I Hate Suzie is due to air on U.K. network Sky later this year. There are no details yet on a U.S. home for the show, though given the talent involved, it's surely only a matter of time before it's picked up.
In the meantime, if you fancy catching up with the actress who played Rose Tyler, check out our recent feature on her latest projects – including her directorial debut Rare Beasts.
