It’s been close to two years since we’ve seen Emma Watson make a red carpet appearance. She made her return for a charitable event, arriving on the green carpet (to be more exact), for Prince William and Catherine, the Duchess of Cambridge’s Earthshot Prize ceremony, reports Yahoo! News.

Watson wasn’t just in attendance to show her support but also to present an award. And, she got the memo on sustainability, with her dress being made from recycled wedding dresses.

This year marks the first time the ceremony has taken place, which allots funding to nominees developing solutions in five areas: nature conservation, waste management, ocean revival, air quality and climate change.

Five awards were given out, totaling close to seven million dollars, to recipients including Costa Rica, the city of Milan, Takachar, a social enterprise based in India, Coral Vita, farms located in the Bahamas and the South Pacific organization Enapter, that uses technology to reduce emissions in renewable electricity.

More than 750 nominations were made, with other organizations that were short-listed receiving support through The Global Alliance, which is a network of groups including the United Nations and the World Wildlife Fund.

It wasn’t just Watson — there were other familiar faces in attendance, like the one and only Sir David Attenborough who presented the opening remarks.

And, of course, the royal couple who hosted the event.

While an event meant to create awareness about sustainability and continued efforts, the creators still scheduled out time for entertainment, with the rock band Coldplay and soloist Ed Sheeran performing.

Other entertainers who came out to support included Emma Thompson and David Oyelowo, who also presented.

The New York Times points out that the Earthshot Prize ceremony precedes the forthcoming U.N. summit in Glasgow, Scotland, which will be made-up of 20,000 delegates discussing climate change.
