'Doctor Who' Stars Matt Smith, Karen Gillan and Arthur Darvill Reunite for Twitter Watch-Along

Doctor Who favorites Matt Smith, Karen Gillan and Arthur Darvill are reuniting today (April 3) for a special watch-along event on Twitter.

They'll join former Doctor Who showrunner Steven Moffat for a rewatch of "The Eleventh Hour," the first episode of the show's fifth season from 2010.

This classic story isn't just Smith's first full episode as the Doctor, but also Moffat's first as showrunner. On top of these milestones, it introduced us to Gillan's companion Amy Pond and her fiancé Rory Williams, played by Darvill.

Doctor Who magazine's Emily Cook has helped to organize the rewatch and shared an appetite-whetting trailer on Twitter.

"The Eleventh Hour" is also notable for featuring an early appearance from Olivia Colman before she became an Oscar-winning awards season regular. Oh, and it's the first time we ever saw the Smith's Doctor's enjoying a helping of "fish custard." The watch-along takes place today at 2pm EST, so you don't have too long to get ready – here's where to watch "The Eleventh Hour" on BBC America.

Earlier this week BBC America hosted a Twitter rewatch of "Spyfall, Part 1," and "Part 2," the opening episodes of Doctor Who season 12. BBC America has the entire season if you're in the mood for a binge-watch.

Meanwhile, Thirteenth Doctor Jodie Whittaker recently sent out an "emergency transmission" to raise fans' spirits during the ongoing Coronavirus crisis.
