Paul Feig is credited with movies like 2011's Bridesmaids and the 2016 Ghostbusters reboot. He's now turning to YA with The School for Good and Evil, which is heading to Netflix.

The made-for-streaming movie is based off of author Soman Chainani's fantasy series, with five books total and 2013's The School for Good and Evil being the first.

The story revolves around two girls, Sophie and Agatha, who discover there's a school that trains regular boys and girls on how to be fairy tale legends. They both want to attend the school, with Sophie planning to be a hero and Agatha seeing herself as a villain (she already has a black cat).

The girls are accepted to the school, but there's a slight problem. According to the book's description: "Sophie's dumped in the School for Evil to take Uglification, Death Curses, and Henchmen Training, while Agatha finds herself in the School for Good, thrust among handsome princes and fair maidens for classes in Princess Etiquette and Animal Communication."

The girls think it's a mistake, but the story description hints that it's an insight into their true selves...

Chainani is pretty excited to see his story hit the screen, saying in a statement, "To have one of your favorite directors adapt your book into a film for Netflix is an honor and a dream. Paul Feig is a brilliant filmmaker and a master of tone — a perfect fit for the twists and turns of The School For Good and Evil. I have no doubt that he will make a true fairy tale classic," reports Deadline. 

Feig chimed in, saying, "I’m truly excited to bring this amazing, touching, funny, and empowering world that Soman created in his wonderful books to life. I feel like a frog that just turned into a prince."
