Well, this is a bit of fun. When portraying the Tenth Doctor in the beloved Doctor Who series, David Tennant asked, in character, 'Am I ginger?' after regenerating into his new form.

The answer was: "No," leaving the time lord a little disappointed. But, speeding up to now... the answer is a big, whopping, "YES." And, here he is, with that grin we know and adore so much, and a dash of fiery flair to his hair:

Tennant has signed on to star as the demon Crowley in the TV adaptation of Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman's 1990 novel, Good Omens. As RadioTimes points out, Crowley has dark hair in the book. So, possibly the color changeup could be for a different role.

Or, possibly, Tennant just really, really wanted to go red.

Since portraying the Tenth Doctor, Tennant has gone on to other memorable roles, like DI Alec Hardy in BBC America's Broadchurch and Zebediah Killgrave in Jessica Jones, but, we're getting the impression his hair has taken on a life of its own.

We should point out, Michael Sheen, who will portray the angel Aziraphale in Good Omens, is in the photo, too, and he's gone blonde. But, it doesn't seem to be having the same impact. He's probably not offended as he didn't announce, 'Am I blonde?' as an alien time lord regenerating into a new body over ten years ago.

You may have already read the novel, but just in case, Good Omens follows the demon Crowley (Tennant) and angel Aziraphale (Sheen), who put their differences aside and team up to stop the Antichrist Adam and his gang from bringing about the apocalypse.

This series will be co-produced by the BBC and Amazon, with six hour-long episodes airing in 2018.
