Daniel Radcliffe has signed on for a new role, set to star in The Lost City, opposite Sandra Bullock and Channing Tatum, reports Empire online.
When we think of Radcliffe, we don’t typically think baddie. But, it has happened before, with him taking on a villainous role in 2016’s Now You See Me 2, and now it’s happening again.
The story kicks off with Bullock’s character, Loretta Sage. She’s a successful romance novelist, whose stories are set in exotic locales. Tatum is set to portray a model named Alan, who poses as the hero of her stories for the book covers. 
The two are on a book tour together, and that’s when Radcliffe’s character comes into the picture…
He kidnaps Sage, hoping she can lead him to an ancient lost city and its treasure, which she describes in her latest novel.
But, he kidnaps her in the most-polite way, saying in the newly released trailer, “Ms. Sage, I enjoyed your book about the lost city. And I believe you’re the one who can help me find it.”
She respectfully declines, but, well, she doesn’t have a choice in the matter, with him saying, “I’m afraid, I must insist,” with a private plane showing up to whisk them away.
Sage protests, shouting at him, “Unchain me!” when in fact, she’s struggling with her seat belt.
Did we mention, this is a comedy:

Alan turns up to save her, but it might be Loretta who saves him.
If you think you spotted Brad Pitt at the end of the clip, you were right. His showing up to save the day, definitely bursts Alan’s bubble.
But, it’s only the trailer, and we’ll have to wait until the premiere date, March 25, to see who saves who.
