Daniel Craig appears to be lining up his first post-Bond projects: not one, but two, sequels to Knives Out.

According to Deadline, Craig and writer-director Rian Johnson are "closing in on" a super-lucrative deal to make the two movies for Netflix.

Craig starred in the hit 2019 whodunit movie as Benoit Blanc, a master detective investigating the mysterious death of the patriarch of a wealthy, dysfunctional family. Johnson wrote and directed the movie, which became a surprise smash after grossing an impressive $311.4 million at the global box office.

Knives Out was a hit with critics as well as movie-goers, and Craig earned a Golden Globe for his performance. The stellar ensemble cast also included Chris Evans, Ana de Armas, Jamie Lee Curtis, Michael Shannon, Don Johnson, Toni Collette, Lakeith Stanfield, and the late Christopher Plummer.

Casting for the first sequel is due to begin right away, according to the report, with shooting slated to start June 28 in Greece. Craig's fifth and final outing as Bond, No Time to Die, is now due to open September 30 in the U.K. and October 8 in the U.S. following several Coronavirus push-backs. Its script has been co-written by Killing Eve's season one show runner and Fleabag creator Phoebe Waller-Bridge.
