Colin Firth Shares Thoughts on Another 'Mamma Mia!' Movie: 'I Suppose There Are More Songs'

Today brings somewhat encouraging news for Mamma Mia! fans. Colin Firth has suggested he and his castmates would be keen to make another movie.
Though the majority of ABBA's biggest hits featured in the original 2008 Mamma Mia! movie and its 2018 sequel Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again, Firth said this wouldn't necessarily rule out a "threequel."
Asked about another installment, the actor told Sky News, "We can always dream. The likelihood of that I can't comment on, you know. I suppose there are more songs, or why not use them all again?"
"I'm sure that you won't find anybody that wouldn't be keen to show up for it," he added.
Well, to paraphrase ABBA, "My my, how could they resist it?"
Firth's comments follow those made by his Mamma Mia! co-star Dame Julie Walters, who said that while she is stepping back from acting following a health scare, she would always return for another Mamma Mia! movie.
In June of this year, Mamma Mia! producer Judy Craymer also spoke positively about a third Mamma Mia! movie, telling the Daily Mail, "I was meant to have been getting on with that, in my head, during these months. But then I got hit with Covid fog. I think one day there will be another film, because there’s meant to be a trilogy, you see."
Bring it on, quite frankly.
Would you like to see another Mamma Mia! movie, or do you feel that two was enough?
