Claes Bang Stars in New Trailer for Mystery-Thriller 'The Bay of Silence'
We just saw Claes Bang in Steven Moffat and Mark Gatiss' miniseries Dracula, which premiered earlier this year. Bang has dropped the Transylvanian accent and fangs to take on a more modern role as a family man in The Bay of Silence, reports ComingSoon.net.
The movie is based on Lisa St. Aubin de Terán's 1986 novel of the same name. In the recently released trailer, we see a married couple, Will and Rosalind (Olga Kurylenko), moving into their new home. They have two small children and a baby on the way. It all looks close to perfect, with Will even saying, "This is heaven."
As the story progresses, we learn Will is concerned about his wife, that she's not well. Her behavior becomes erratic after giving birth to their new son. It gets even more concerning when she and all three children go missing.
Will, who lives in England, searches for his family, finding them in France, but their infant child has inexplicably died.
The new trailer reveals some of Rosalind's past, which may help explain the present:
You can also look for Brian Cox (Succession) as Rosalind's step-father Milton.
The Bay of Silence will be available for streaming via VOD on August 14 in the U.S. and August 28 in the U.K.
If you're excited for more Claes Bang, he's also set to star in a Viking period drama called The Northman, which is in pre-production.
We're liking Claes Bang. What about you?
