Casting News: Uzo Aduba Joins Ben Whishaw and Chris Rock in 'Fargo' Season 4

Orange is the New Black may have ended this year, but one of the show's standout actresses has lined up another prestigious TV role.

Uzo Aduba, who won two Emmys for her performance as Suzanne "Crazy Eyes" Warren in the popular women's prison drama, has signed up for the upcoming fourth season of Fargo.

We don't know who Aduba will be playing in the anthology series' latest installment, but we do know she'll be co-starring alongside Ben Whishaw, Chris Rock, Jack Huston, Jason Schwartzman, and British rising star Jessie Buckley (Wild Rose, Judy).

According to Variety, the new season will be set in Kansas City, Missouri in 1950, and center on two rival crime syndicates – one Italian, one African-American – who have reached an "uneasy" peace by trading a son with the other. However, when the local mafia boss dies unexpectedly while in the hospital for a routine operation, the spirit of mutual co-operation is more than threatened.

Rock is starring as the leader of one of the syndicates, while Whishaw is playing a character called Rabbi Milligan who may have connections to a local law enforcer. Fargo's creator, Noah Hawley, is again serving as writer-director-showrunner on the new season, which is due to premiere on FX in 2020.

Aduba will also appear next year in Mrs. America, an upcoming FX miniseries based on the true story of the feminist movement's battle to ratify the Equal Rights Amendment in the '70s. Her co-stars in that one include Cate Blanchett, Rose Byrne, Tracey Ullman, and Margo Martindale.
