Tilda Swinton has carved out one of the most interesting movie careers around, and her latest project sounds like another fascinating choice.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the Oscar-winning actress has signed up to star in the debut movie from Julio Torres, which is currently untitled and in the works at indie production company A24.

Torres, a comedian, writer, and actor, is best known for his writing work on Saturday Night Live and for co-creating and starring in the quirky HBO comedy series Los Espookys. It follows a group of horror movie-loving friends who launch a business providing spooky experiences for anyone who desires them.

There's no word yet on what kind of character Swinton might be playing – and given her chameleon-like ability to disappear into a variety of roles, frankly it's anyone's guess. She's recently been keeping busy at the Cannes Film Festival, promoting the latest Wes Anderson movie, The French Dispatch, in which she plays a fictional art critic working in France in the 1960s. It's scheduled for release in the U.S. on October 22.

We'll also be able to catch her soon in indie sequel movie The Souvenir Part II, in which she portrays the upper-crust mother of a fledgling filmmaker played by her real-life daughter Honor Swinton Byrne. It's due in U.K. theaters on November 5, though U.S. release details have yet to be confirmed.
