After winning Golden Globe and Critics' Choice Awards for her performance as Princess Diana in The Crown, Emma Corrin is circling a very exciting movie role.
According to Deadline, the rising star is "in negotiations" to lead a big screen adaptation of D.H. Lawrence's classic romantic novel Lady Chatterley’s Lover.
Published in 1928, the sexual content and salty language of Lady Chatterley’s Lover was considered so scandalous at the time that an uncensored version wasn't published in the U.S. or U.K. for more than 30 years. It tells the story of a wealthy upper-class woman, Lady Chatterley, who begins a passionate affair across the class divide with a gamekeeper who works on her English country estate.
Even more scandalously, Lady Chatterley goes on to leave her husband for the lover whom society deems "unsuitable" for her.
Corrin is being lined up to star as the title character in an adaptation directed by Laure de Clermont-Tonnerre (The Mustang) and David Magee (Life of Pi).
Clearly in demand following her breakout role in The Crown, Corrin is also on board to star opposite Harry Styles in the LGBTQ-themed romantic movie My Policeman.
During her recent appearance on The Graham Norton Show, she shared a funny story from the filming of The Crown, which you can check out below.
