Casting News: Saoirse Ronan Reunites with Wes Anderson for 'French Dispatch' Film
Saoirse Ronan (Ladybird) starred in writer-director Wes Anderson's The Grand Budapest Hotel in 2014. The two are confirmed to be working together again, with Ronan set to star in Anderson's French Dispatch, which, coincidentally, is his first live-action film since Grand Budapest, reports Empire Online.
Anderson's next project is set in a French outpost of an American newspaper and is being described as "a love letter to journalists." Early reports suggest we can expect three interconnected storylines, taking place right after the end of WWII.
Anderson is known to keep storylines tightly wrapped until the release of the film. He's also reliable when it comes to casting actors he's worked with previously, with Frances McDormand, Tilda Swinton and Billy Murray already signed on for French Dispatch.
We can also look for Ronan's Ladybird and Little Women co-star Timothée Chalamet, Benicio del Toro and Jeffrey Wright.
Filming has already begun, with a release date still to come.
