Following her fierce roles in Stranger Things and Enola Holmes, Millie Bobby Brown has lined up another very exciting-sounding project.
According to Deadline, the 16-year-old Brit will executive produce and star in Damsel, a Netflix fantasy movie directed by Juan Carlos Fresnadillo (Intruders, 28 Weeks Later).
Brown will play a character called Princess Elodie who thinks she is marrying Prince Henry, but then discovers she's actually about to be sacrificed to a dragon, setting up a head-to-head battle with the fire-breather. Further details haven't been revealed, but it already sounds like the kind of role Brown will boss.
Brown's recent Netflix movie Enola Holmes, in which she plays Sherlock Holmes's equally talented younger sister, became a huge hit when it premiered in September. The Hollywood Reporter noted that it amassed the biggest single-week viewing tally for an original streaming movie since Nielsen started releasing weekly streaming numbers earlier this year.
In addition to season four of Stranger Things, which has been delayed due to Covid-19, Brown is also due to star in Godzilla vs. Kong, a monster movie set for release on May 21, 2021. Whet your appetite by checking out our feature on 10 things you never knew about Millie Bobby Brown.
