Today brings a stack of exciting news for Christopher Nolan fans: the Dark Knight director's latest movie has started shooting, and its title has been confirmed as Tenet.

It's also been revealed that Sir Michael Caine, Sir Kenneth Branagh, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Harry Potter's Clémence Poésy, and Hindi cinema icon Dimple Kapadia have joined the movie's cast.

We already knew that Robert Pattinson, BlacKkKlansman's John David Washington, and Widows' Elizabeth Debicki were on board for the project, which Variety calls an "an action epic evolving from the world of international espionage."

Tenet will be the eighth straight Nolan movie that Caine features in, provided we count his uncredited spoken word cameo in 2017's Dunkirk. Discussing Tenet earlier this year, Pattinson said: "I read the script and it’s unreal."

He also teased that Nolan "seems like the only director now who can do what is essentially a very personal, independent movie that has huge scale."

There's certainly no doubting the scale of the movie: it's being shot on location in seven countries, with Nolan directing from his own original screenplay. Exact plot details are being kept under wraps, as is the Nolan way, and Warner Bros. Pictures has set a release date of July 17, 2020. Bring it on!
