Casting News: 'Game of Thrones' Star Peter Dinklage Joins Rosamund Pike in 'I Care a Lot'
Peter Dinklage has sured up his first post-Game of Thrones role, and it's opposite Rosamund Pike in legal thriller I Care a Lot.
Pike is already attached to the project in what's been called a "fierce" lead role. She's playing Marla Grayson, a super-successful legal guardian who’s learned how to game the system to her benefit, but her clients’ detriment. Her livelihood is threatened, however, when she takes on a deceptively perfect-looking client.
British director J Blakeson (Pitch Perfect, Gunpowder) is directing from his own script. Dinklage's role is being kept under wraps, Variety reports, but shooting is due to start this month. Could Dinklage be swapping Westeros for the courtroom? Given the movie's subject matter, it definitely looks possible.
Dinklage, who won a trio of Emmys for his performance as Tyrion Lannister on the HBO show, has also been linked to a remake of classic Western The Wild Bunch. As of three weeks ago, he, Michael Fassbender, and Jamie Foxx were said to be “in early talks” for the remake, which is being directed by Mel Gibson.
