Casting News: 'Game of Thrones' Actor Iain Glen to Play Bruce Wayne in 'Titans'

Having said goodbye to Westeros in the upcoming final season of Game of Thrones, Iain Glen is heading to Gotham City.

The Scottish actor, who has played Jorah Mormont on HBO's Thrones since it began in 2011, has signed up to portray Bruce Wayne in live-action streaming series Titans.

According to Deadline, Glen's Bruce Wayne will have a recurring role in season two of Titans, which is available on the DC Universe streaming service.

Glen, also currently appearing in the BBC/PBS Masterpiece miniseries Mrs Wilson, will portray an older version of Wayne – Batman's alter ego – than we've generally seen in the past. His storylines will be closely linked to those of Brenton Thwaites' character Dick Grayson, a.k.a. Batman's sidekick Robin.

The producers' official character description teases: "After decades of fighting crime as Batman, billionaire Bruce Wayne is just as driven to protect Gotham from evil as he was in his prime. Needing to reconcile his relationship with Dick Grayson, the duo hope to forge a new dynamic as Bruce tries to help his former sidekick and the Titans achieve success."

It's not yet known whether Glen will appear in costume at Batman during his Titans stint, but fans on Twitter are already picturing him as a sure-to-be-distinguished-looking Bruce Wayne.
