Alexander Skarsgård is making his directorial debut with The Pack, a psychological thriller film partly set in Alaska, and he's cast Florence Pugh as the lead.
Deadline reports that Skarsgård will also star in the movie, which is due to start shooting in March. It marks a reunion for the two actors, who previously appeared together in the AMC miniseries The Little Drummer Girl, an adaptation of John le Carré's novel of the same name.
The new movie certainly has a tantalizing premise. It's said to center on a crew of documentary makers who head to the Alaskan wilderness in an effort to save a threatened species of wolves. Later, when they reconvene at a fancy awards ceremony, a dark secret from their trip rears its head, threatening to pull apart their good work.
Both actors are very much keeping busy. Pugh has a role in Christopher Nolan's upcoming movie Oppenheimer, which also counts Emily Blunt and Cillian Murphy among its cast, while Skarsgård has just joined Kate Winslet in the war film Lee. We'll see him, too, in the next season of Succession.
