Casting News: Charlie Cox Stars as MI6 Agent in ‘Treason’

You may know Charlie Cox from Daredevil (2015-2018). He’s set to star in the forthcoming spy thriller Treason, written by Matt Charman (Bridge of Spies), reports ComingSoon.net. Cox isn’t going it alone starring opposite Ciarán Hinds (Belfast), Olga Kurylenko (Black Widow), and Oona Chaplin (Game of Thrones).
Now that we know who to look for, what is the miniseries about? Cox takes on the role of MI6 agent Adam Lawrence. At first glance, Lawrence is on the right track. He's been "trained and groomed by the MI6" and his “career seems set.” That's until a Russian agent (Kurylenko) turns up unexpectedly, and their shared past impacts the present.
The official synopsis reads, “A triangular relationship forms between Kara, Adam, and his wife, Maddy (Chaplin); three people who are trying to expose each other’s secrets, navigate political and diplomatic relationships, whilst hanging onto their personal lives, and those they love most.”
It doesn’t say “love triangle,” just triangular, which leaves us with more questions than answers. We're guessing it's the same for the characters involved, but someone is bound to put the pieces together. It's just a matter of... who.

If Cox is new to you, here’s a peek at him in the AMC+ original Kin:

Treason is set to premiere on December 26 over at Netflix.
