The ever surprising Anna Kendrick has lined up another interesting role – in the psychological thriller movie Alice, Darling.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Loki actress Wunmi Mosaku and Letterkenny's Kaniehtiio Horn will co-star in the film, which is being directed by Mary Nighy.
Kendrick will play the title character, Alice, who is behaving strangely and keeping secrets about her boyfriend (Reign's Charlie Carrick) as well as her two best friends (Mosaku and Horn). Perhaps this Alice isn't quite so "darling" after all?
Nighy said in a statement: “Alice, Darling is a subtle, nuanced story about coercion and control. As a director, I couldn’t wish for a better cast of talented actors and creatives to bring this important story to life. The chemistry between Anna Kendrick, Wunmi Mosaku, and Kaniehtiio Horn as the three friends is a joy to see.”
Shooting is underway now in Canada. Alice, Darling marks the movie directorial debut of Nighy, who has previously helmed episodes of the TV series Industry, Traces, and Silent Witness.
We recently rounded up 10 things you might not know about her father, Bill Nighy, who narrates the BBC America wildlife documentary series Meerkat Manor: Rise of the Dynasty.
