'Black Panther's Chadwick Boseman Stars in '21 Bridges' Trailer

Chadwick Boseman is just coming off a successful run as Black Panther in 2018's Black Panther, 2018's Avengers: Infinity War and 2019's Avengers: Endgame, premiering this week.

And how does one follow-up portraying such a groundbreaking role? Boseman will be doing some crime-fighting in the NYC-based action-thriller 21 Bridges. He takes on the role of a disgraced detective who is given a chance to redeem himself.

In the just released trailer (April 25), there has been a massive cop killing at a botched break-in and Boseman's Andre Davis is called in to contain the situation.

He is just a man... but even so, we're getting a super human feel with his rapid fire instincts. Davis is given the authority to call the shots in capturing the assailants, and his first direction is to shut down Manhattan, closing all the bridges (all 21 of them).

The movie poster sums it up:

We won't even mention that there are ferries out of Manhattan and air travel like helicopters and go with suspension of disbelief (oh, we did kind of mention it).

The cast is rounded out with Taylor Kitsch (True Detective), Sienna Miller (The Lost City of Z) and J.K. Simmons (Counterpart). The 2019 movie, directed by Brian Kirk (Penny Dreadful), premieres on July 12.

Is 21 Bridges going on your summer watch list!?
