Bill Nighy, Andrea Riseborough, Colin Farrell, and Michelle Yeoh Score Oscar Nominations

Bill Nighy, Andrea Riseborough, Colin Farrell, and Michelle Yeoh are all celebrating their first-ever Oscar nominations today (January 24).

Nighy and Farrell are nominated for Best Actor for their performances in Living and The Banshees of Inisherin respectively, while Riseborough and Yeoh are up for Best Actress for To Leslie and Everything Everywhere All at Once.

Other first-time nominees include Aftersun's Paul Mescal, The Banshees of Inisherin's Brendan Gleeson, Barry Keoghan, and Kerry CondonElvis star Austin Butler, and Blond actress Ana de Armas.

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever star Angela Bassett makes history by becoming the first actor to be nominated for a performance in a Marvel movie. Cate Blanchett, already a two-time winner, scores the eighth nomination of her career for Tár.

Overall, Everything Everywhere All at Once leads the way with 11 nominations, including acting nods for Yeoh's co-stars Stephanie Hsu, Ke Huy Quan, and Jamie Lee Curtis. German war movie All Quiet on the Western Front is right behind with nine nominations, followed by The Banshees of Inisherin with nine, and Elvis with eight.

The nominations were unveiled this morning by Riz Ahmed and Allison Williams. The winners will be announced during a ceremony at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, California on March 12.
