If you’ve been enjoying Benedict Cumberbatch as Doctor Strange, you can look for more of him as the Marvel character in 2021’s Spider-Man: No Way Home.
Cumberbatch and Penélope Cruz took part in Variety’s Actors on Actors series, where the two interview each other.

When asked about the cross-over, Cumberbatch was delighted with the results.
He started off by talking about how fulfilling it was to make it happen, saying, I’m very spoiled because Tom Holland and I had petitioned that the neighborhood superheroes should cross paths again.”
While it sounds like he played a role in getting the ball rolling, he sounds very grateful.
He went on to describe the experience, saying, “To have those three films culminate in that moment was extraordinary to be a part of. And to let my character make some hefty mistakes out of love. really, out of generosity towards someone he realizes he really cares for.”
Cumberbatch also talked about the movie theater experience, saying, “From a stand-alone success of a movie, of a franchise, it’s phenomenal. I genuinely sat there entertained, thrilled, really moved. I laughed a lot. I cheered. It’s a fantastic feeling to be back in a cinema, being able to do that and to prove that not everything has to be streamed. And I think that’s important moving forward. It’s not just for exhibitors but for the social gain, the excitement of being in a crowd of people experiencing that live thing of watching it.”
The mental image of Cumberbatch cheering for the movie from his seat in the cinema is delightful.
And, what exactly did Doctor Strange do for Peter Parker (Holland)? If you haven’t seen the movie yet, this is a bit of a SPOILER, so you may want to look away… but, Doctor Strange agreed to cast a spell making it so that no one remembered that Parker is Spider-Man.
We shall say, it didn’t work out quite how they expected, and the plan backfired.

The Doctor Strange sequel is set to come out later this year. It does make us wonder, does this storyline carry over?
What's your vote on that? At what stage would you like to see Doctor Strange in the next movie?
