Angelina Jolie's Western-Thriller 'Those Who Wish Me Dead' Gets a Release Date

Angelina Jolie (Maleficent) is set to star in the movie adaptation of Michael Koryta's 2014 novel Those Who Wish Me Dead, which was announced back in 2019. We can also look for Anglo favorite Nicholas Hoult (Tolkien).

It's just been announced that the movie will premiere on May 14, in theaters where open, and via HBO Max, reports ComingSoon.net.

The original story revolves around a 14-year-old teen named Jace Wilson. He's witnessed a brutal murder and in an attempt to protect him, he's placed in a wilderness skills program for troubled teens in Montana.

Jolie is set to portray Hannah Faber, an ex-firefighter who now occupies a lonely lookout tower. She's kept company with her tortured thoughts of a young boy she couldn't save.

Taylor Sheridan (Yellowstone) has written the screenplay for the big screen adaptation and will be directing. According to the description, the film will be loosely based on the novel, with the script being "female-driven and a by-the-seat-of-your-pants chase movie."

It sounds like Faber is being given a second chance, to save young Jace from those who are after him.

In addition to Jolie and Hoult, we can look for Aidan Gillen (Game of Thrones) and Tyler Perry (Gone Girl).

Do you have any suggestions on who should play the teen on the run?
