It seems Hugh Grant is more popular than ever before. He's been popping up on Anglo a lot lately, first with his new role in the Guy Ritchie movie The Gentlemen, sporting an oh-so-fun cockney accent and just last week, chatting about his just as fun dance in Love Actually. 

Here are 7 reasons why we can't get enough of him:

1. He says it how it is.

Over the summer, Grant had a chat with The Hollywood Reporter, where he was asked about any career regrets. He didn't hold back, saying, "Every decision I ever made was probably wrong. After Four Weddings and a Funeral released in 1994, and the world was my oyster, I should've made interesting decisions and done different stuff. Instead, I repeated myself almost identically about 17 times in a row." We have a feeling he had one or two good decisions mixed in there.

Sure, some of his roles may have been similar, with him playing the hapless English chap in films like Four Weddings and a Funeral and Notting Hill. But, one of our favorite characters of his, which is also the most cringe-worthy, is the infamous Daniel Cleaver from the Bridget Jones series. Cleaver is self-serving and manipulative, but there's something about him that keeps Miss Jones going back to him. Grant himself can be polarizing, but at least he's interesting.

3. He makes memorable scenes.

And, hapless or not, his roles aren't only hugely enjoyable, but also very memorable. Like in 1999's Notting Hill when he portrayed a bookstore owner named Will. Will meets an American actress (Julia Roberts) by chance and the two have a bit of a fling. He doesn't think they have a future and calls it quits. Meanwhile, she's the one fighting for the relationship, saying, "I am just a girl. Standing in front of a boy. Asking him to love her." How many times have you quoted that scene in your own life? 4. He gives good interviews.

In 2016, he swung by The Graham Norton Show for a catch-up, sharing the couch with Meryl Streep. Norton listed off quotes from a prior interview with Elle magazine where Grant candidly described his on-set experiences with some of his female co-stars. Norton rattles off a list, but it's the final three that caught our attention, with him recapping Grant's responses, "Julianne Moore, brilliant actress, loathes me. Rachel Weisz, clever, beautiful, despises me. Drew Barrymore, made her cry, hates me." We did mention in No. 1 of this list that Grant's very honest.

5. He's just like us.

When Grant's car was broken into at the start of this year, he turned to social media to ask people for help. Apparently, his bag that was stolen contained a script with notes and ideas written on the pages. While it's not clear if his belongings were returned, at the least, we got to see his vulnerable side.

6. Rock stars write him fan letters.

Okay, we take it back, he's not like us at all, considering Coldplay's lead singer Chris Martin wrote him a fan letter. And, no, it wasn't when he was a tween. It was two years back, at 40. Grant and Martin share the couch on tonight's The Graham Norton Show, where Martin relays how this all came to be. He provides some background, saying every time he'd run into Grant, he seemed a bit grumpy. And he thought to himself, "You know what, I'm going to tell Hugh that I think he's wonderful. Because I've loved his work ever since he started... 45 years ago." Martin through a little dig in there at the end, but it's a really cute exchange.

7. He doesn't give up.

With his recent success with the biographical miniseries, A Very British Scandal, it seems he has gotten his second wind. But, back in 2004 he was kind of over it. Grant was asked about moviemaking and a little too honestly described it as a "miserable experience." He went on to say, "It's so long and boring and so difficult to get right. I am sort of semi-retired. I keep thinking I'm going to write a brilliant script." Everyone's prone to self-doubt and we're glad he stuck with it.
