The Flight Attendant premiered in 2020, starring Kaley Cuoco in the title role. The second season was confirmed in December 2020.
And, just recently, it’s been announced we can look for Sharon Stone as a new cast member, reports Deadline.
If you’re not across the series just yet, let's backtrack to season one. Cuoco portrays a young flight attendant living her best life. She works hard and parties hard (a little too hard). When she hits it off with a passenger during a transatlantic flight, the two spend the night together, with her waking up next to his dead body.
She has no idea what happened, nor what her involvement may have been, and the season take us on a roller coaster ride as she tries to figure things out.
The second season is currently in production, filming in Los Angeles, Berlin and Reykjavik.
In other words, the second season will take us across the ocean once again.
Cuoco is set to reprise her role as Cassie and we can look for Stone as her estranged mother, Lisa Bowden. To be more exact, “her estranged mother who would prefer to stay estranged,” according to Deadline. Ouch!
In the first season, we were introduced to Cassie’s relationship with her father via flashback, but there wasn’t a ton about her mom.
It appears that’s about to change.
If you are up to speed on season one, then you’ll know it ended on a bit of a cliffhanger, with Cassie being offered a position with the CIA. It came across as an unofficial position, with her being told, “You won’t get a gun.”
According to the official description, Cassie is now living a sober life in Los Angeles and moonlights as a CIA agent. But, her real job as a flight attendant takes her overseas, where she is witness to a murder.
There is no word on when season two will premiere, but it’s getting some movement.
We hope see this back on HBO Max sooner than later.
