Sir Elton John Says He's 'Thrilled' About Being Referenced in 'Killing Eve'

Sir Elton John has said he's "thrilled" to have been such an influence on the latest episode of Killing Eve.

The episode's title – "Are You From Pinner?" – name-checks the iconic singer-songwriter's English hometown, and his music features heavily as well.

In the episode, we see Villanelle a.k.a. Oksana Astankova (Jodie Comer) traveling to her own hometown in Russia, where it turns out that her younger half-brother Bor'ka (Temi Blaev) is a big Sir Elton fan. He even has posters of the singer on his bedroom wall.

Later, she and her family get up from their dinner table to dance excitedly to Sir Elton's classic hit "Crocodile Rock."

Villanelle even nods to Sir Elton in her fashion choices.

Sharing a photo of Villanelle wearing some very Elton-esque oversized specs, the musician wrote on Instagram: "I think the glasses suit you, @jodiecomer."

Clearly delighted by Sir Elton's post, Comer shared it on her Instagram story and wrote: "I can't even act cool. I'm going to look at this whenever I'm sad."
