Simon Pegg starred in the first season of The Boys as Hughie Campbell’s father. But, since then, we haven’t seen him in the series. Well, that’s about to change…
Pegg is set to return to reprise his role as Hugh Campbell Sr., reports Deadline. We’ll also be meeting Hughie’s mom, with Rosemarie DeWitt stepping into the role.
If The Boys is new to you, the series kicked off in 2019. The storyline, based on the comic by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson, revolves around suped-up human beings who use their powers for self-serving purposes and the group who fight to take them down.
The second season premiered in 2020 and the third in 2022. The series is now heading into its fourth season and is currently filming. It’s predicted to release in 2023.
Here’s a peek back at where it all began, starring Jack Quaid and Karl Urban in the leads:

We’re excited to see Pegg’s return to The Boys and more about his storyline.
In the meantime, let’s have a catch-up with Pegg:
