'Killing Eve's' Phoebe Waller-Bridge is Reworking 'Bond 25' Script

Phoebe Waller-Bridge's work is definitely getting noticed, with hits like Fleabag and Killing Eve, but not just by viewers and critics. Daniel Craig, the current James Bond, has asked for her to step in on the next installment of the espionage franchise, reports The Guardian.

Bond 25, its working title, has had some growing pains, but it seems like the project is on track now. Waller-Bridge has been recruited to put her killer instinct stamp on the script. And, how so? With her wicked sense of humor, of course.

According to multiple reports, the plan is for Waller-Bridge to bring her "wit and quirkiness" to the screenplay, giving it a "polish." If anyone can do it, it's Waller-Bridge.

007 may not be known for bringing the LOLs, but he has delivered some zinger one-liners over the years:

Thor star Chris Hemsworth recently expressed interest in taking on the role of James Bond. Some fans may think he's "too funny," but then others jump in saying Bond does have a comedic side. With Waller-Bridge on board, we can look for more of that.

We can also look for Ben Whishaw to return as Q and Ralph Fiennes as M. Naomie Harris is confirmed to reprise her role as Miss Moneypenny. Cary Joji Fukunaga will direct.

OK, now we just need a finished-finished script.

Is Phoebe Waller-Bridge going to save the day!?
