Jenna Coleman will discover that revenge is a dish best served cold: in her upcoming thriller series Wilderness, that is.
Deadline brings word that the Doctor Who favorite will star opposite Oliver Jackson-Cohen (The Haunting of Hill House, The Invisible Man) in the Amazon Prime series based on B.E. Jones’ novel of the same name.
Coleman and Jackson-Cohen will play Liv and Will, a young British couple living an enviable life in New York. However, when Liv learns that Will has cheated on her, she hatches a plan to exact her revenge on him during a trip around America's National Parks. Color us intrigued and maybe a little bit scared, too.
The series has been written and created by Marnie Dickens, who also wrote and created Jodie Comer's pre-Killing Eve TV drama Thirteen, which aired in the U.S. on BBC America. So Yong Kim (Lovesong) will direct the series, which is being shot on location in the U.K., U.S., and Canada.
"I'm very much looking forward to getting on the road, into the wilderness and the depths beyond," said Coleman. "Working alongside Oliver, we will be exploring the boundaries of a relationship that is tested in unimaginable ways and in the hands of the wonderful So Yong Kim, Marnie Dickens, and Liz Kilgarriff at Firebird Pictures. I know this is going to make for an extraordinary trip."
