The TV adaptation of Neil Gaiman's fantasy novel Anansi Boy has found one of its leads: Da 5 Bloods actor Delroy Lindo.

The British-American actor will play Mr. Nancy in the upcoming Amazon series which counts Gaiman as an executive producer, Variety reports.

The story follows Charlie Nancy, a young man who had a difficult relationship with his estranged father, Lindo's Mr. Nancy. When his father dies, Charlie discovers that his dad was actually an incarnation of the West African trickster God Anansi, and that he has a troublesome brother named Spider.

Gaiman is also writing the series alongside Sir Lenny Henry. "Delroy Lindo is a giant of the stage and the screen, and we are so lucky to have him," Gaiman said. "I cannot wait to see his gravitas and charm being deployed for the benefit of Anansi Boys, as he plays an unreliable father with hidden depths."

Lindo is riding high after his acclaimed role in Spike Lee's war movie Da 5 Bloods, for which he earned a handful of award nominations. He is also coming off a longtime role opposite Christine Baranski in the hit legal drama series The Good Fight.

Gaiman is also keeping busy, especially now that BBC Studios and Amazon have officially ordered a second season of Good Omens with David Tennant and Michael Sheen.
