The global Doctor Who fan community has really come together during the COVID-19 pandemic, helping to support one another with everything from a virtual pub quiz to a Twitter chat with David Tennant and Catherine Tate.
Now, in the latest #StayingInTheTARDIS quarantine challenge set by Doctor Who‘s official Twitter handle, they’ve been dressing up as various incarnations of the Doctor. The results, which fans have been sharing on Twitter, are pretty darn impressive.
One fan got especially creative, dressing as her fantasy Doctor – one based on Anna Chancellor‘s character from BBC newsroom drama The Hour. And to be honest, it totally works.

Doctor Who fans have also been congregating regularly on Twitter for “tweet-along” viewings of classic episodes. Former showrunner Russell T Davies has even joined Twitter especially for the events, which have also featured appearances from former cast members including Matt Smith, Karen Gillan and Arthur Darvill.
Meanwhile, Tennant and Tate – who starred together on the show from 2006-2010 – also reunited for a special one-off charity sketch in which Tate revived her popular character Lauren the schoolgirl and Tennant played her rather exasperated teacher.
