Ricky Gervais has shared a trailer for the second season of his dark comedy series, After Life, and it features some familiar faces.

Gervais’ Extras co-star Ashley Jensen returns as Emma, a nurse working at the care home where Gervais’ character Tony goes to visit his dad. The Netflix series, which premiered last year, follows Tony as he struggles to regain his appetite for life after his wife dies of breast cancer. Kerry Godliman, who previously appeared in another Gervais comedy, Derek, appears in flashback sequences as Tony’s late wife, Lisa.

Dame Penelope Wilton also returns as Anne, an older widow whom Tony meets for philosophical chats in the local park. In the trailer, they’re seen enjoying a swig of wine from the bottle – super-relatable right now. Check out the trailer below, though be warned that it does feature some very adult language.

Season two of After Life is due to launch on Netflix on April 24. Gervais has said that it will continue to follow Tony’s gradual healing process after his tragic loss. Gervais has talked about the success of the project, saying, “I was blown away by the reaction to season one. I’ve never experienced anything quite like it!,” reports Deadline. “It’s been truly heart-warming to see how the show has resonated with so many viewers on an emotional level. I can’t wait for everyone to see season 2 where hope is everything.”
