As we all know and are learning, everyone is impacted by the Coronavirus. Celebrities and public figures are doing their best to keep spirits up and maintain lines of communication.
Queen Elizabeth II has released a statement, addressing the hard times being faced, working together to protect oneself and those around them, and thanking those who are working to combat the spread of the novel virus.
She and husband Prince Philip have vacated Buckingham Palace and are relocating to Windsor Castle. She starts off her letter with, “As Philip and I arrive at Windsor today, we know that many individuals and families, across the United Kingdom and around the world, are entering a period of great concern and uncertainty.”
She reinforces the importance of looking out for one and other, writing, “in particular, to protect the most vulnerable.” She calls on history to keep up morale, saying in her message, “At times such as these, I am reminded that our nation’s history has been forged by people and communities coming together to work as one, concentrating our combined efforts with the focus on the common goal.”
