After a year-long break from acting, Jennifer Lawrence has picked a very intriguing comeback vehicle: an untitled movie from acclaimed theater director Lila Neugebauer.

The movie has a script by first-time screenwriter Elizabeth Sanders, Variety reports, and is due to start shooting mid-June in New Orleans, LA. Lawrence will serve as a producer on the project as well as starring, but other than that, all details are being kept under wraps.

Lawrence, the youngest person ever to receive four Oscar nominations, was last seen in spy thriller Red Sparrow and the super-polarizing horror movie Mother!. Could this movie represent another surprising role for her? Either way, it’s always a pleasure seeing Lawrence on the promo circuit.

This will be Neugebauer’s first time directing a movie, but she’s well established as a theater director. Last year she directed a Broadway revival of Kenneth Lonergan‘s play The Waverly Gallery with an all-star cast led by Lucas Hedges, Elaine May, Joan Allen, and Michael Cera.

Last year she also directed the first production of Mary Page Marlowe, a new play by August Osage County writer Tracy Letts, which debuted Off-Broadway with a cast that included Orphan Black‘s Tatiana Maslany.

Before she starts shooting her Lila Neugebauer movie, Lawrence will return to theaters in new X-Men installment Dark Phoenix, which opens June 7.
