Last Friday (January 5), it was announced Doctor Who star David Tennant would be attending Wizard World Comic Con in New Orleans, which took place this past weekend.

The last-minute inclusion of the former Time Lord in the lineup was pretty dizzying, and some attendees decided to… really make the most of it.

Two fans in particular used their Tennant time especially wisely. A pregnant woman and her husband approached the star and asked him to reveal the sex of their baby, due May 23.

Tennant was delighted, exclaiming, “You don’t know?!” They didn’t…

At least, not until they handed him an envelop containing the gender and he made the announcement using Doctor Who catchphrases. If he said “Allons-y” then the baby’s a girl and “bad wolf” means… yes, you guessed it — a boy!

So, what’s the verdict?

Or, y’know, a girl.

Aw, congratulations! And hats off to Tennant — he’s such a good sport.

It reminds us of the time Tennant was on The Graham Norton Show and he signed his name on a fan’s arm, which was then made into a tattoo.

And, again, he was super excited — possibly more so than the fan!

If you missed Tennant at Wizard World this past weekend, you can catch up with him in season two of Jessica Jones, premiering March 8 on Netflix. He’s already completed filming on Mary, Queen of Scots, which we can look for in November of this year. Also, as you’re no doubt fully aware — because we can’t get enough of him as the demon Crowley — he’s currently filming the TV miniseries adaptation of Neil Gaiman‘s Good Omens, set for 2019.

What fan favor would you ask David Tennant if you got the chance to meet him?
