Flight of the Conchords fans were abuzz when news broke late last year that the New Zealand-based musical comedy duo, Bret McKenzie and Jemaine Clement, would be touring the U.K. and Ireland in 2018.

But wait. What about us folks in North America? Well, the wait won’t be all that long, actually. HBO, the network that aired the musical comedians’ cult TV show a decade ago, has announced plans to broadcast a new TV special. An hour-long taped performance, pulled from their forthcoming U.K. tour, will air this May, reports The guys will be singing classic songs and performing some new original material.

The original TV-run earned 10 Emmy nominations and their album, The Distant Future, won Best Comedy Album at the 2008 Grammy Awards.

If you missed it, here’s a compilation video of the guys accepting a number of awards, with McKenzie calling his mom in one scene:

The comedic musicians are officially back! Could there be more awards and hilarious acceptance speeches in their future? Time will tell…

We’ve missed these guys! Are you looking forward to more from Flight of the Conchords ?
