Fans may remember Katee Sackhoff as Starbuck in the remake of the cult classic Battlestar Galactica (2004-2009), which re-aired on BBC America. She also reprised the role and starred as herself, making cameos on The Big Bang Theory in 2009 and 2010.
And, now she’s making her return to TV, starring in The Flash, opposite Grant Gustin in the title role. The DC Comics superhero series kicked off in 2014 and is heading into its fourth season this coming fall, premiering on October 10.
But, this time around, Sackhoff won’t be fighting the good fight, she’ll be playing for the baddies. She’s set to take on the role of Amunet Black, aka Blacksmith, according to Entertainment Weekly.
Her character is described as: “A steely and badass boss of an underground black market for super villains. Amunet uses every means possible, including the long list of metahumans under her thumb, to ensure her illicit enterprise thrives.”
She’s giving #GirlBoss a new meaning. We can also look for Arrow‘s Emily Bett Rickards as Felicity Smoak in the same episode, called “Girls Night Out.”
If The Flash is new to you, here’s a look at the season one trailer, providing the backstory on how Barry Allen became the suped-up, speedy metahuman, also known as The Flash:

Sackhoff also stars in the crime drama Longmire as Victoria “Vic” Moratti (2012-2017). The thriller, set in Wyoming, originally aired on A&E and can now be found over at Netflix.
