Sophie Turner earned her acting stripes playing the driven Sansa Stark in the long running HBO hit Game of Thrones. The seventh season of GoT premieres this summer, on July 17, with the new trailer released just last month.

While we look forward to seeing the eldest Stark daughter fight her way back to the life she used to know in GoT, we’re also excited to hear that Turner has other projects in the works. The starlet has her sights set on returning to the big screen — she’s already played Jean Grey in the X-Men franchise — and is set to star in a new sci-fi film, revolving around one of our favorite topics: time travel.

The film, Time Freak, stars Asa Butterfield (The Space Between Us, Hugo) as a young physics student, who’s dumped by his girlfriend (Turner), reports Deadline. Rather than sitting with his head in hands, mulling over what went wrong, he gets seriously proactive and builds a time machine. As you do.

He travels back in time, with his best buddy (Skyler Gisondo) providing moral support and attempt to undo the events that caused the breakup.

This does remind us of Richard Curtis‘ film About Time, in which Domhnall Gleeson and Rachel McAdams play a couple in a similar situation. Haven’t we learned by now, from numerous on-screen time travel adventures, we can’t change the end result? Alas, filmmakers will continue to try.

The new film may sound similar to Curtis’ movie, but we’re confident there will be twists and turns to set it apart.

The story comes from married couple: director Andrew Bowler and producer Gigi Causey. The two created a short film, which received an Oscar nomination in 2012, and they’re now making it into a full-length feature. In the short, a neurotic inventor travels back to the day before to undo some of his exchanges he regretted, like being rude to the clerk at the dry cleaner. The problem is, each time he returns, his shirt still isn’t ready… and he keeps losing his temper.

The feature version is currently being shot in Salt Lake City, Utah, with the release date yet to be announced.

We can also look for Turner in Berlin, I Love You, opposite Jared Leto, which is in pre-production. She’s already completed filming on 2017’s Huntsville, also starring Dylan McDermott, where she plays a high school student. The two develop a friendship, which leaves people in the small town asking questions. She’s also confirmed to reprise her role as Jean Grey in X-Men: Supernova, scheduled for 2018.
