All hands are on deck for Alien: Covenant — the much-anticipated sequel to Ridley Scott‘s Prometheus. As we’ve mentioned in earlier posts, Michael Fassbender will reprise his role as the cyborg David, and will also be playing a newer model, who goes by the name Walter. As well, Noomi Rapace will return as Dr. Elizabeth Shaw.
But, there are some new faces joining the exploration ship, including comedic actor Danny McBride (Eastbound & Down; Vice Principals). Then there’s the “surprise” casting of James Franco (127 Hours). McBride will be piloting the ship, which he confirmed in an earlier interview, and Franco is rumored to play the captain, but that’s not officially-official just yet.
