It’s awards season, and we at Anglo think this year’s Best Bromance gong should go to Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds, no question.

They’ve been friends ever since 2009 when they faced off against each other in X-Men Origins: Wolverine, and what do really, really great mates do? They rib each other mercilessly, that’s what.

Ryan certainly got off to a flying start. First there was that scene in Deadpool, where the comedy superhero suggested getting his own movie had something — ahem — R-rated to do with Wolverine. In fact, the film is littered with references to Hugh’s character, including the moment Deadpool uses a Jackman mask to hide his terrible disfigurement from his lady love, Vanessa.

Fast forward to yesterday (December 14), when Ryan was all smiles on Hollywood Boulevard as he got his very own star on the sidewalk. A real pal wouldn’t miss out on passing on his congratulations, would he?

That’s exactly what Hugh did, in this video posted on his Instagram account. Or is it in fact Ryan himself? It’s just so hard to tell, what with special effects being so clever these days:

That’s Jackman 1 and Reynolds 1, by our reckoning.

What’s that line about revenge being a dish best served cold?
