Lucy Crewe's Doctor Who (Photo: YouTube)

Welcome to this week’s Doctor Who‘s Day roundup, a carefully-selected sift through all of the internet over the past seven days for Whovian nuggets, fan creations and general news and gossip.

And we begin this week with something rather grand. Lucy Crewe is a Doctor Who fan and animator, who has spent a good deal of 2016 working on a cartoon trailer for Season 10. And it’s really good, particularly the likenesses of both the Doctor and Bill:

And that’s not all, during the shooting for the actual Season 10, Lucy took some of the early animations to show Peter Capaldi, who seemed equally taken with her work:

Here’s what else has been going on in space and time this week:

• Matt Smith is back! After a period of relative quiet, he’s been promoting his new drama The Crown, and generally having fun, like this appearance on BBC Radio 1 where he and presenter Nick Grimshaw swap voices while ordering pizza:

• And here he is talking to Graham Norton about meeting royalty:

Back on more Whovian territory, he also met up with the YouTuber Mini Matt Smith for a chat:

• His old mucker Karen Gillan is showing her support:

• But the transition from Doctor to Prince has been harder for some than others:

• Too soon?

• And on that note, anyone stuck for Christmas gift ideas?

• At last, an update for the “knock knock” joke:

Doctor Who: The Fan Show looks at “The Power of the Daleks”, which is coming to BBC America in less than two weeks:

• And now, thanks to BBC Store, so can you:

• And in color too, no less:

• Speaking of shopping, how beautiful is this?

• Awww…

• Some nice fan-made Second Doctor intro credits:

• Clara in shades:

• Pearl Mackie learning how to fly the TARDIS:

• Here’s a teaser trailer for the First Doctor adventure “The Time Meddler”

• How much more fun could it be to be Michelle Gomez? Nun.

• How to stop a Weeping Angel (with Lego):

• Brooklynites! Run!

• A couple of very Whovian tattoos:

Check out @sunshine.spinner's new ink! It's very spacey wacey. #DoctorWho

• And finally, to go out with a song, how about this remarkable clip, in which Thomas Tulak does unspeakable things to the Doctor Who theme, in the name of metal:
