Last month it was announced that Gillian Anderson would star in American Gods, the hotly anticipated TV adaptation of Neil Gaiman‘s cult novel by her erstwhile Hannibal showrunner Bryan Fuller.

She’ll play the goddess Media, in a story of the war between the Old Gods of the classical age and the New Gods of modern technology that also features The 100‘s Ricky Whittle as Shadow, Deadwood‘s Ian McShane as Mr. Wednesday, and Back to the Future‘s Crispin Glover as Mr. World.

Ever the perky spokesperson, and always in control, she spins stories in whatever direction best suits her.”

Even out of focus it looks like the perfect role for her.
