J.K. Rowling is having one of those “I’m just like you” moments.

Okay, that might be a bit of a stretch these days with her tremendous success with the Harry Potter series, but when she started out, she was just like any other aspiring writer who was used to getting rejection letters more so than “Yes, we want you,” letters.

A Rowling fan tweeted her story of rejection, which triggered Rowling to swoop in to the rescue.

The author went on to explain that the more rejection letters she received, the more she felt challenged:

She didn’t stop there.

Maybe she is more like us than we realize: She loves a good Twitter session.
