There’s something strange going on in the neighborhoods of NYC in the new Ghostbusters trailer. So, who are we gonna call?

This time around, Kristen Wiig, Melissa McCarthy, Kate McKinnon, and Leslie Jones step into the jumpsuits.

Wiig and McCarthy take on the roles of scientists, McKinnon is an engineer, and Jones is the “everyday” woman who knows her way around NYC. Chris Hemsworth embraces his inner Annie Potts as their assistant.

Director and co-writer Paul Weig talked about the reboot at a Sony screening yesterday (March 2), saying, “I know some people are like, ‘Why is this not a sequel and instead a reboot?’ Personally, [I didn’t like] the idea of them being handed technology and being told ‘here’s how to do this,'”reports

Weig has given the new Ghostbusters a clean slate to do their thing, which we see in the below trailer:

Weig is keen on the new cast, paying homage to the original, saying, “There’s something really special about these four together that makes this become what was so lovely about the first movie.”

Ghostbusters will hit U.S. theaters on July 15.

Can you separate from the original and enjoy the reboot?
