There may be a new bromance budding.

Steve Coogan and John C. Reilly are confirmed to star in an upcoming biopic about the comedy duo Laurel and Hardy called Stan & Ollie, reports BBC News.

Coogan is set to take on the role of Stan Laurel, with Reilly stepping in as his partner in crime Oliver Hardy.

Director John S. Baird is on board to direct, telling the BBC, “Like so many others I grew up watching Laurel and Hardy and I’m therefore honored to help bring this incredible true story of love, laughter and friendship to the big screen.”

The biopic will document the pair’s last tour, performing at variety halls in the U.K. Hardy’s health was failing, and the two knew this would be the last time with their audience as a team.

Christine Langan, head of BBC Films, is keen on Coogan and Reilly playing off of each other in the film, saying, “John C. Reilly and Steve Coogan are dream casting for Stan & Ollie, bringing to life with uncanny accuracy and irresistible gusto the genius creative marriage that Jeff Pope‘s script explores so lovingly.”
