Merry Christmas! And welcome to this week’s Doctor Who’s Day Roundup, a gallimaufry of Gallifreyan gubbins from the widest reaches of the internet. This week, we begin with a little help for anyone whose new year’s resolution is to try and get in front of a camera in 2016.

The BBC site iWonder has launched an illustrated guide to becoming a Doctor Who actor, with on-set contributions from Maisie Williams, and from Andy Pryor, Doctor Who casting director.

There’s a universe of good advice there for aspiring actors. You can even chose which part you’d be interested in going for, a lead actor, an extra, or even one of the monsters.
