We present the following with no comment whatsoever, except to note how very fine Eddie Redmayne‘s bone structure is.

This is the first still to be released from The Danish Girl, Working Title’s new movie concerning the earliest pioneering attempts at gender realignment surgery.

Adapted from the novel by David Ebershoff and directed by Tom Hooper (Les Misérables), The Danish Girl is an account of Danish artist Einar Wegener in the 1920s, and his attempts to use brand new surgical techniques to fully become a woman named Lili Elbe. Alicia Vikander co-stars as his wife Gerda.

It’s not the only movie project Eddie’s been working on since The Theory of Everything. There is also the Thomas the Tank Engine movie, for which he provided the voice of a train called Ryan.

In a recent interview with The Wrap, Eddie explained that he was delighted to start work on the movie: “I haven’t worked since The Theory of Everything, so it’s been really good to get the muscles exercised again.”

The Danish Girl is currently scheduled for release in 2016.
